Reviewed by wife: I got this specifically to wash and store berries. I also use it to wash cherry tomatoes. It is just the right size. It is a hard plastic with a removable drain tray. I like to leave the drain tray in when storing in fridge to keep any excess water off of the berries, but I remove it when just washing fruit. The lid has drain vents to use when rinsing the food. Then close them to store the food in the fridge. It also has foldable handles. It works exactly as I expected -- no complaints! The lid seems to close tightly, but I was able to easily open it again. It is small, so doesn't take up much room in the cabinet. This is important to me, because -- while I like gadgets -- I don't like cluttered cabinets. If I can't easily find it, I won't ever use it. I think I will get a lot of use out of this! The price is reasonable.

It's very cute, I love the colors. The collapsing handles are nice and it serves it's purpose. However, it is much smaller than I expected. You could not fit a bag of grapes in here. You could definitely fit a carton of blueberries, strawberries, etc. It's functional and cute, just small. I compared it to a coke can because that was the first object I found that has a universally known size.

The concept of this colander is great — rinse the produce in it, drain it, and then store it in the fridge. You can also close the vents on the top with a simple turn. But I’m worried about the longevity of this product, and the durability. The plastic seems very cheap. Other kitchen items I’ve had with similar plastic quality eventually crack, and have to be thrown away due to it being rendered useless. Would be much better if this product was made of glass.

This is a hand held colander/food strainer with a set of foldable handles for storage. The lid is slotted with an adjustable grate, so for smaller items, you can go from fully open to fully closed depending on the size of the items in the colander.

I buy a lot of fruits/berries from Sam's Club or Costco and I like to rinse them off before eating them or transferring them to a different storage container.
Pros: This container is large enough to where I can most of my fruit in one or two washes.
Cons: Do not leave your fruit in the container over night or more than one day. I did it once, and the fruit molded.
I like having this container because I know that my food is cleaner by using it. Its a good add to my kitchen and would get another as a gift to someone else.
